The measures to be implemented on Jan. 1, 2012, aims to crackdown on ticket scalpers. The Ministry of Railways is anticipating a record 235 million passengers making trips across the country during the 40-day spring travel rush that begins on Jan. 8. The government has banned imports and sales of live chickens for three weeks after a chicken carcass was found at a wholesale market on Tuesday. It has also raised the city's flu alert system to "serious." The government said it was tracing the source of the chicken carcass, but it was not clear whether the chicken came from a local farm or was imported. The women rallied outside a government office complex in Tahrir Square, the scene of violent clashes on November 21 in which at least four demonstrators were shot dead by military police. Dozens of men joined the demonstration out of sympathy with the women. They acted as a protective cordon and chanted:"Egyptian women are a red line." Three members of Femen were seized on Monday after a topless protest in the Belarusian capital, Minsk, before being abandoned in a forest, they said. They had been protesting on the first anniversary of President Alexander Lukashenko's re-election. The three protesters had bared their breasts and demanded freedom for political prisoners.
