NASA's Kepler spacecraft has found two Earth-sized planets outside our solar system, Christian Science Monitor reported. Both planets – Kepler 20e and Kepler 20f – are closer to their host star than Mercury is to the sun, meaning their too hot for life. The two planets, thought to be rocky, are interspersed among three Neptune-scale gas planets, forming a cosmic triple-decker sandwich.

※This discovery overthrows current models of plant formation, as astronomers have believed that rocky planets formed closer to the sun, where temperatures were too warm to allow gases and ices to accumulate. Meanwhile, gas and ice giants formed beyond the so-called snow line, where temperatures even on the sunward side of objects could not unfreeze water and allowed gases to condense into liquids.

The women are potentially at risk of developing cancer after receiving cheap implants using industrial silicone gel normally destined for the electronics industry instead of the more expensive medical silicone.

The Oscar won by Orson Welles for writing the groundbreaking 1941 film Citizen Kane has sold at auction in California for $861,542, BBC reported. Welles wrote, directed and starred in the film, regarded by many as one of the greatest films of all time. It was nominated for nine Academy Awards but won in only one category - best original screenplay. The identity of the bidder who won it at an internet auction has not been revealed. But the auction house said the second-highest offer came from magician David Copperfield.
